Benidorm said goodbye to its Festes Majors Patronals yesterday with a reduced parade of floats, compared to previous editions, and with an intense and powerful fireworks display on Poniente beach.
With a change in schedule and route, the floats, preceded by a 'batucada' (drum circle), left Tomás Ortuño shortly before 8:00 p.m. to tour Venus, Ruzafa, Martínez Alejos streets and Alcoy and Bilbao avenues.

There were the mayor, Toni Pérez; the Councilor for Festivities, Jesús Carrobles, among other members of the Municipal Corporation.
In the parade it was possible to contemplate the floats of the regional houses settled in Benidorm, that of the Associació de Penyes 'Verge del Sofratge' and, of course, that of the queens, Paula Pérez and Sofía Fuster and their ladies who were applauded enthusiastically during all the way
After the parade, from Poniente beach, Pirotecnia Valenciana launched a great fireworks display during almost 20 minutes, which brought together thousands of residents and visitors who lived in this way the end of Festes Majors Patronals of 2021 and with an eye already on those of 2022.
