Artists and artisans will offer their products this summer from July 3 to September 30 in their usual locations
‘Les Nits del Castell’ return with measures to comply with health safety requirements
Artists and artisans return tonight, as every summer season, to the old town of Benidorm in a new edition of ‘Les Nits del Castell’. An initiative of the Department of Commerce that aims to boost the offer of an emblematic area of the Castle during the summer.
This year, as a consequence of the COVID 19 pandemic and the exceptional measures dictated in terms of safety and health, the safety distances and minimum separation between the stalls must be kept, as dictated by the 2020 Resolution of the Consellería de Sanidad Universal y Public Health, which establishes the conditions for opening non-sedentary sales markets in the Valencian Community.
Castellar Square will host the artists, among whom are 2 portrait artists, 6 cartoonists and a landscape painter, and who will remain until September 30 from 7:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.
The artisans, all of them with the corresponding accreditation, will be located at La Señoría Square until September 15 with the same schedule. Among the stalls are jewelry items in sterling silver and precious stones, miniatures and hair clips made of resin and silver, leather and steel jewelry, cold porcelain ornaments, handmade soaps, macrame, crafts with marine crystals and beads, leather necklaces and precious stones, or crystal pendants with stone and mother of pearl.
In addition, Benidorm Association for the Disabled (ASMIBE) will have a stall where they will exhibit fans, binding and leather goods. The post of a local craftsman who is dedicated to making original clocks with different shapes and materials will also be installed again: woods, sheet metal, plastics, zamak, glass, etc; as well as a craftswoman from Benidorm who works with polymer clay: necklaces, earrings and bracelets of mother-of-pearl and seashells.
The artisans come from municipalities such as Benidorm, Finestrat, Villajoyosa, La Nucía, Alfaz del Pí and Alicante.
