The City Council thus contributes to the travel expenses made by the students during the 2019/2020 academic year
Education announces grants for non-associated university transport
The Department of Education, led by Maite Moreno, has opened the deadline for grants given by the City Council to university students studying on public campuses in the provinces of Alicante and Valencia where the ABEU service does not operate. –Benidorm Association of University Students-.
With these grants, related to the 2019/2020 academic year, “we intend to reduce the cost of bus or train that students have endured between October last year and the first half of March to travel to public higher education centers in Alicante or Valencia to continue their studies ”.
Moreno has reported that "as in previous years, the amount of the grant is proportional to the transportation expense that the students have disbursed during the course, the benefit not exceeding 50% of that expense."
The application form can be downloaded in the Aid section of the Department of Education of the web www.benidorm.org, and submitted before July 24 by email to the address: educacio@benidorm.org.
The requirements to be a beneficiary of these grants are to be continuously registered in Benidorm from September 1, to study for a Degree, and not to have transport or residence subsidies from other administrations or entities.
