Benidorm will live one more year tomorrow the summer solstice from Partida dels Marxassos

One more year, tomorrow, June 21, Benidorm will welcome the summer from the Partida dels Marxassos. At this point, in Sant Jaume municipal cemetery, the summer solstice offers a unique visual spectacle as the sun sets over El Portell del Puig Campana, known as the Tajo de Roldán.
This phenomenon, which has already aroused the interest of an international benchmark in research such as the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias (IAC), annually brings together members of cultural entities such as the Taula de Bon Profit, around 8:00 p.m. on June 21, the Recreational Cultural Association 'La Barqueta' of Benidorm, organizations from different parts of the province of Alicante and also people interested in local traditions.

An informal call that the mayor, Toni Pérez, has extended "to all citizens to experience a magical moment that has been shared from generation to generation until today, now a tradition."
