The City Council, the Local Police and the concessionaire of the beaches will provide extraordinary security, cleaning and rescue and first aid services.

The Benidorm City Council, together with the Local Police and the concessionaire of the beaches, has prepared a special device on the beaches for the night of San Juan made up of more than 50 troops including police officers and personnel from the cleaning, rescue, first aid and health care.
This morning the coordination meeting was held, in which the extraordinary services that will operate on the beaches on the night of June 23 have been defined.
The mayor, Toni Pérez, chaired the meeting, in which the councilors for Beaches, Public Safety, Street Cleaning, and Events –Mónica Gómez, Jesús Carrobles, and Luis Navarro– participated, among others; the Mayor of the Local Police; technicians from the area of Beaches, Environment, Mobility, and Citizen Security; and heads of the municipal Technical Services, concessionary company and Civil Protection.
The special security device will be made up of 10 local police officers on the beach and a maritime service zodiac with two other officers, as well as the corresponding commanders.
Regarding the cleaning of the beaches, from 8:00 p.m. there will be personnel carrying out manual cleaning tasks and distributing garbage bags among the groups of people who are on the beach. In addition, at 03:00 on the 24th, cleaning will begin with sieves, one in Levante and another in Poniente, to which a garbage collection vehicle will be added. In total, 17 people will make up the cleaning service on the night of San Juan.
During the night of San Juan, the lifeguard and rescue service will operate with extended and uninterrupted hours until 03:00. There will be three ambulance vehicles with medical personnel on the three beaches (parked on Bilbao Street, Paseo de Colón and Vicente Llorca Alós Avenue), to which the zodiac service will be added. Levante Beach will be attended by 4 lifeguards, Poniente 4 and 1 in Mal Pas; Therefore, the rescue and first aid device will have about twenty effects.
The public toilets on the beaches and the footbaths, for their part, will be open until 03:00.
It is strictly forbidden to take glass containers to the beach and make any type of fire on the sands of Benidorm.
