The creativity of the housewives of Benidorm in the exhibition hall of CAM Foundation
The Exhibition Hall of the Fundación Caja del Mediterráneo in Benidorm hosts from yesterday until next Friday, June 30, the 'Exhibition of Paintings, Crafts and Works' of the Association of Housewives, Consumers, and Users of Benidorm.
Several dozen associates participated in the opening ceremony of the exhibition, which had the support of a good number of councilors from what will be the next government team in the City Council, including Ángela Zaragozí, who managed the area of Equality.
Vini Pérez, president of the Housewives, greeted and welcomed the attendees, some for the quality of the work on display and others for the results obtained in the recent 28M Municipal Elections.
At the insistence of the public, Ana Pellicer, on behalf of the new corporation, thanked the work done by the associates throughout the course and their commitment to "maintaining local traditions." The mayor highlighted the quality of the exhibited works, which range from painting to different artistic specialties and manual labor, and recalled that housewives are "the mainstay of cultural and social dynamism in Benidorm."
On behalf of the group of teachers, the renowned local painter Pepe Albero, pointed out that "housewives are a restless group" and "they paint a lot" in Benidorm. Likewise, he asked the new team of councilors "that the four years to come be like the four that have passed", acknowledging the support received by the City Council to the Housewives in the commitment to their work.
Finally, Matías Pérez Such, as a member of the board of trustees of Caja del Mediterráneo Foundation, announced that the entity will continue to support the future closer to the Housewives of Benidorm in carrying out activities and making them known to society as a whole.
