Toni Pérez reinforces contact with citizens and marks accessibility at all levels as a major objective

20 June 2023
Toni Pérez alcalde de Benidorm

The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, made public this morning at a press conference the distribution of councilors among the sixteen councilors that make up the municipal government team and whose resolution has been signed this morning.

Thus, the organization of municipal powers will be distributed as follows:

Toni Pérez will maintain the Tourism portfolio, as he has been doing since 2015.
Ana Pellicer Pérez: 1st Deputy Mayor. Historical and Cultural Heritage, Health and Citizen Participation.

José Ramón González de Zárate Unamuno: 2nd Deputy Mayor. Water Cycle and Parks and Gardens.

María Dolores Cebreros Moral: 7th Deputy Mayor. Parties.
Jaime Jesús Pérez Esteban: 6th Deputy Mayor. Culture, General Patrimony, Legal Advice, Foreign Residents, and Cemeteries.
Aida García Mayor: 3rd Deputy Mayor. Finance, Procurement, European Funds, and Innovation and Quality.

Ana Mª Soliveres Tomás: Organization and Management of human Resources (RR.HH) and Youth.

Mónica Vanesa Gómez López: 4th Deputy Mayor. Employment and Local Development, Beaches, Environment and Sustainability, Statistics, Citizen Services, Consumption, and Administrative Extensions, and Deputy Spokesperson.
José Javier Jordá Vergara: Sports, Commerce and Municipal Inspection.
Jesús Carrobles Blanco: 5th Deputy Mayor. Citizen Security and Emergencies, Plaza de Toros and Events.

Francisco José Muñoz Antón: Urban Scene, Works, Universal Accessibility and Mobility.

María Teresa Moreno García-Vera: Education, Family and Childhood.
Ángela Zaragozí Martínez: Social Welfare, Equality, Senior Citizens, Cooperation and Immigration.

María Lourdes Caselles Domenech: 8th Deputy Mayor. Urbanism, Bussiness licence and Housing and Spokesperson.
Juan Díaz Ortuño: Presidency, Transparency, and Communication.
Luis Navarro Moreno: Street Cleaning and Urban Solid Waste Cycle.

The mayor has explained that "we have carried out the distribution of powers as quickly as possible to respond to the maximum demand that Benidorm needs to be managed", and has stated that "it is a distribution that maintains continuity in management to a great extent", but with adjustments that aim to "maintain the maximum connection of the local administration with the citizenry"

Toni Pérez has stressed that the great objective is "accessibility at all levels", as a concept that "pervades management from all work areas in a transversal way". He has also valued the necessary continuity of "urban surgery, the detail of each neighborhood of Benidorm, which has been supported by the citizenry."

The mayor has made it clear to the media that he "in no case" would delegate the tourism competition, which he will continue to hold during this legislature as he has been doing since 2015.

The mayor has announced that next Thursday, June 22, at nine in the morning, the ordinary plenary session of municipal organization will be held. In that same session, as he has announced, the draw for the polling stations for the general elections on July 23 will also take place.
