Benidorm takes up activities and courses in the gym of the Palau d'Esports
The City Council has given three authorizations to give the classes most demanded by users. Those responsible for the activities will pay what it is stipulated in the municipal ordinance
This week Palau d'Esports recovers the activities and courses most demanded by the users that were given before the resolution of the contract of indirect management of the facilities of the pool and the gymnasium. The councilor for Sports, Ana Pellicer, explained that authorization has been given to use several rooms to three companies and / or self-employed to teach these classes, which allow "continuity to a service that was being provided in the Palau with very good reception". Pellicer clarified that these are authoritations for a month, and that those responsible for these activities "must pay the City Hall the rates set out in Fiscal Ordinance number 30" for the lease of the rooms in which these classes will be taught. One of the authorizations refers to the activities of zumba fitness, youth dances, urban dance, modern jazz for children and teenagers, and zumba kids - one of the most demanded by users. The second authorization is for the pilates room, and the third one for 'cardio' activities and exercise circuits in the fitness room of the gym. The head of Sports remarked that at the time of giving these authorizations "it has been responded to the requests of users," and added that all information regarding schedules is already available at Palau d'Esports, in the department of Sports and on the municipal website. On the other hand, Pellicer announced that soon "agreements will be signed with swimming clubs that will be responsible for conducting aquatic activities for users of the Palau," and that will be focused on all ages.
