Benidorm returns this weekend to the Middle Ages with a market and shows in Parque de Elche

Benidorm returns this weekend to the Middle Ages with the installation of a market with close to a hundred stalls in Elche Park, a space in which shows and animations populated by knights, fairies, goblins, ladies, or druids will take place. This initiative, 'Medieval Benidorm', is promoted by the Department of Festivals and Commerce together with AICO and the Legend company, coinciding with the commemoration of the 698th of the granting of the Charter of Poblament.

Although the activity started yesterday, this Friday around 6:15 p.m. 'Medieval Benidorm' has officially opened its doors. An opening in which participated, among others, the mayor, Toni Pérez; the councilors of Fiestas and Commerce, Jesús Carrobles and Lorenzo Martínez; the national deputy Agustín Almodóbar; the provincial deputy José Ramón González de Zárate; members of the municipal Corporation; the president of AICO, Raúl Parra; the Queens of the Major Patronal Festivities, Angélica Morenilla and Daniela Talavera; and the president of the Commission, Vicente Solaz.

On their tour of the market, the delegation was accompanied by music and a medieval setting with bagpipes, juggling, warriors, and fantastic beings; a sample of the shows and animations that will take place throughout the entire weekend.

In addition to the gastronomy and craft stalls, the medieval market is also home to cultural and social associations from Benidorm such as ACR La Barqueta, Aerbeco, and Cats Club.

Tomorrow and Sunday, the medieval market will open its doors at 10:30 am, with the first of the shows and entertainment beginning just 30 minutes later. In the afternoon, the hours will be from 5:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
