Benidorm City Council opens tomorrow almost all the pedestrian areas of Plaza de la Hispanidad, as reported today by the Councilor for Works, José Ramón González de Zárate, after visiting the development of the remodeling of Mediterráneo Avenue along with the mayor, Toni Pérez, and municipal technicians. Part of the remodeling work is focused these days on Valencia Street, where the new pavement is being placed on the road.

As detailed by De Zárate, "90% of these pedestrian areas of Plaza de la Hispanidad will be opened, leaving the other 10% closed for several reasons." Specifically, "the garden areas" will be bounded waiting for "proceed to plant the variety of trees and vegetation contemplated in the project, which according to agronomists must be done between the end of October and November."

The mayor explained that "as the work progresses, in Plaza de la Hispanidad we continue with provisional street lamps, waiting to receive the final ones, which are being designed exclusively for Benidorm." The same as for street furniture, currently under construction, and that will be installed throughout the year.

With regard to mobility, De Zárate has informed that tomorrow, Friday, the four fords of the five communities of owners of Valencia Street and the initial section of Doctor Pérez Llorca will be allowed to enter and exit through the junction of this route with Plaza de la Hispanidad, although “we will maintain some type of fencing with planters and barriers so that, little by little, people get used to seeing where cars move and where are pedestrians areas” . The four fords indicated by the councilor are those of the buildings Coblanca 1 and 2, Principado Manila, Beatriz and Manila.
