This afternoon the poster for the 2025 Festivities will be presented and the name of the Standard Bearer will be announced
An aerial bombardment marks the start of the patron saint's day celebrations in Benidorm

Benidorm kicked off the commemorative events for the patron saint's day, Sant Jaume, with an aerial bombardment launched from Plaça de la Senyoria and a general ringing of bells at midday. The queens of the 2025 Festes Majors Patronals, Paula Pascual Sánchez and Aitana Pérez Gutiérrez, along with Mayor Toni Pérez and Councillor for Festivals, Mariló Cebreros, were responsible for activating the bombing. Members of the Municipal Corporation, the ladies, and members of the Commission followed from the square.
At 6:00 PM, representatives of the festival and authorities will gather at the Casa del Fester (Festival House) and then move to the headquarters of the La Barqueta Cultural and Recreational Association, where the mayors will collect the statue of Sant Jaume to carry it in parades through the city centre.
At 7:00 p.m., the entire procession will stop in Plaza del Torrejó, where the poster announcing the Festes Majors Patronals (Major Patronal Festivals), which this year will be held from November 8 to 12, will be unveiled. This image will also be used by the Commission as the cover of the Official Magazine for the 2025 festivities.
Later, at 8:00 p.m., a solemn mass will be celebrated in the Church of Sant Jaume and Santa Anna. Afterwards, the 2025 Standard-Bearer will be appointed. The Standard-Bearer will place a bow tie on the Commission's banner and receive the city insignia from the Mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez. After the Eucharist, the "Estampeta" (Stampet) will be lit in honour of the patron saint in Plaça Sant Jaume, followed by the traditional "Peuet Ball" (Peuet Ball) by the ladies and queens of the Festes Majors Patronals (Major Patronal Festivals). Finally, a fireworks display will be launched.
The day dedicated to Sant Jaume will conclude with a popular street party in Plaça de Castelar, in El Castell, organised by the mayoral members of the Festival Commission, who will open a bar with food and drinks at affordable prices to raise funds.
