La Nova de Benidorm celebrates its fifth anniversary with a concert at the Óscar Esplá
The musical society presents the commemorative CD 'Benidorm, your music i la seua gent'
The Societat Musical La Nova in Benidorm will celebrate its fifth anniversary with an extraordinary concert on Saturday, June 17, starting at 8:00 pm in the auditorium 'Óscar Esplá' of the Parque de l'Aigüera. This was announced today by the Councilor for Culture, Ana Pellicer who, in addition, has presented, accompanied by the president of the society, Juan Muñoz, and its director, Francisco José Rovira, the commemorative CD edited for the occasion, 'Benidorm, Your music is your gent '.
Pellicer recalled that "la Nova was introduced to the people of Benidorm on March 25, 2012 and today there are 65 musicians", have "a school of more than 250 students" and "has more than 400 members." The person in charge of the municipal area of Culture has thanked the work done during all this time and has appreciated very positively the work done. Five years in which La Nova "has fomented the culture of our city".
Concerning the CD, Francisco José Rovira has said that it will be possible "to find music created by composers from Benidorm and dedicated to people, associations of our people". Much of the content of this album will be performed by La Nova in the concert and can be purchased at Óscar Esplá once the concert is over. For his part, Juan Muñoz, thanked the support received by the City Council for the organization of this fifth anniversary and "all the people who make up the Societat Musical La Nova for the great work done" these years.
