Benidorm simplifica los trámites para construir equipamientos públicos

The Environmental Assessment Commission reports favorably to the modification of the PGOU which suppresses the detailed studies for cases such as the Rincon Health Center or the Commissary

The Environmental Assessment Commission of Benidorm City Council has today supported to modify the General Plan in a timely manner to simplify the procedures to be followed when building public facilities such as the Rincón de Loix health center or the future Police Station of the National Police.

The Councilor for Town Planning, Lourdes Caselles, has reported that this body "has issued a favorable report to this amendment, number 21, which affects the detailed ordering of dotational uses and in synthesis creates a series of parameters that make it unnecessary to write detailed studies for these public facilities ".

Caselles explained that "when lightening the processing" this modification "will reduce the deadlines" in the case of projects or buildings for sanitary, educational, sports, and so on. In case the corporation endorses what the Environmental Assessment Commission has already valued positively, "the effects of this modification of the General Plan will be immediately felt, since it will be applied to the Rincón de Loix health center as already Has been considered with the Department of Health, "said the mayor.

The head of Urbanism has clarified that "not having to do a detailed study, the Conselleria would already be in a position to tender the drafting of the project for the health center."

The report approved by the Environmental Assessment Commission of the City Council will now be published in the Official Gazette of the Valencian Community. Covered in this way the environmental section, the amendment number 21 of the General Plan will enter its urban phase, also in municipal headquarters and that includes: public exhibition for a period of 45 days, and final approval by the plenary.
