The fourth 'Trophy for a Smile' by Aspanion will be played in the 'Guillermo Amor'

Everything is ready for the celebration of the fourth edition of the 'Trophy for a Smile' of Aspanion (Association of Parents of Children with Cancer) organized by the local board in collaboration with the councils of Social Welfare and Sports of Benidorm City Council and to be held next Sunday, May 13, from 09.00 in Ciudad Deportiva 'Guillermo Amor'.

This morning, the heads of Social Welfare and Sports, Angela Llorca and Arturo Cabrillo, along with the representatives of Aspanion, Fran Morcuende, and Legion 501 Spanish Garrison, Santi Vañó, have presented the event that, for the first time, will add to the fight against childhood cancer to the numerous collective of fans of Star Wars of Benidorm and province.

Angela Llorca congratulated Aspanion for the organization of the trophy and recalled that it is necessary "to raise funds to continue helping families who have a child with cancer." Llorca has encouraged all people in Benidorm to go on Sunday to the sports city and so "put together our small grain of sand to help Aspanion."

For his part, Arturo Cabrillo showed "total support" of his Council and the entire City Council to a "cause of solidarity" as the 'Trophy for a Smile'. "A special event," he underlined, "that is worth enjoying because it will be a magnificent day of play, festivity, sports and solidarity."

The representative of Aspanión, Fran Morcuende, shelled the program of activities in which there will be a football tournament in Benjamin category, a triangular Football 7, bouncy castles, children's workshops and "a great paella", all enlivened by Societat Musical La Nova and discjockey Dj Vicky. Morcuende also emphasized the animation throughout the day that will be in charge of fans throughout the province of the Star Wars saga, including Legion 501 Spanish Garrison, to which Santi Vañó belongs, who recalled that this group "was born from a case of childhood cancer, with which we are fully aware of the support for these causes",

In addition to the Legion 501 Spanish Garrison, in Foietes will be present The Lightsaber Path, The Mandalorian Merc, Adega Sabers, Star Wars Alicante, Saga Skywalker, Astromeds, Darling Boys and Horuset. In addition, La Nova will perform a mix of the soundtrack of the galactic saga composed by John Williams.
