Contemporary dance returns to the streets of Benidorm with the second edition of the Les Ones festival, which is held from June 30 to July 3 and which this afternoon will have a performance by the city's dance academies as an aperitif. The Councilor for Culture, Jaime Jesús Pérez, explained that this festival "in addition to giving visibility to contemporary dance, brings it closer to the public by placing the performances at street level, in some of the most emblematic locations of our city, which are It thus becomes the stage through which the proposals of Les Ones parade”.
Pérez has pointed out that "the second edition of the festival, organized by the Department and coordinated by Lidia Lara, grows in a number of performances and also in complementary activities since in addition to the exhibition of local dance schools there are also several master classes planned and a dance workshop.
The Councilor for Culture has indicated that "as spectators we are used to enjoying dance in a conscious way and generally in closed spaces such as theatres or auditoriums, which is why this proposal for 'dansa al carrer' by Les Ones is so attractive, which goes out to meet the public in the urban space itself, capturing their interest as we could already see last year during its first edition”.
The official programming of Les Ones begins on June 30, Thursday, with the performance of Aleksandra Vucheva and 'A hug without you' in Elche Park at 8:30 p.m. Thirty minutes later it will be the turn of 'Fugants', from the Federica Fasano Company. On Friday, July 1, dance moves to Plaça del Castell, with the show 'Andrómeda', by Eduardo Ignacio Fizona and Lidia Lara, at 8:30 p.m. At 9:00 p.m., the Colectivo Simpar will represent its 'Siam Effect'.
Saturday's session is starred by the Until it Fits Company with 'Yo-yo' at 9:00 p.m. in Plaça Sant Jaume; and at 9:30 p.m., in the same location, Otra Danza with 'La Banda'. Les Ones will say goodbye on Sunday from Plaça del Castell with the Paula Serrano Company and 'If you're looking for me, you'll find me' at 8:30 p.m., and 'They're not eyes because you see them, they're eyes because they look at you', by Cave Canem, at 9:00 p.m.

As a prelude to the official programming of Les Ones, this Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. in the Plaza SSMM Reyes de España you can experience the exhibition by the Elemental Municipal Dance Conservatory and the schools of Daniela Arnoldo, Pilar Segura, Rosa Martínez and Maria Jose Moya. Each of them will stage two proposals.
