A pie de calle campaign resumes its activity to inform the residents of El Saladar about the new modifications and their benefits
Benidorm changes the traffic direction on Mirador, Invierno, and Fluixá streets to improve sustainable mobility and optimize routes

With the aim of improving traffic flow and providing more comfort for residents and drivers in the El Saladar neighbourhood, Benidorm City Council will modify the traffic direction on some streets in the area starting next Tuesday, May 13th. Specifically, on Mirador, Invierno, and Fluixá streets.
For this reason, the Departments of Mobility and Citizenship Participation have revived their street-level campaign to inform neighbourhood residents on-site about the changes being introduced next week and their intended purpose. The event was attended by Mobility and Citizenship Participation Councillors Francis Muñoz and Ana Pellicer, along with several members of the local government, the Vice President of the Neighbourhood Council, Antonio Zamora, and numerous neighbourhood residents.
There, Francis Muñoz explained that the entrance to Mirador Street "will now be from Alfonso Puchades," for which a traffic light intersection will be implemented "similar to the one that exists a few meters ahead at Primavera Street, to allow vehicles to turn left and take Mirador Street."
The direction of Fluixá Street, which until now has been accessed from Alfonso Puchades, will also be changed. Starting next Tuesday, the street will change direction and must be entered from Emilio Ortuño Street. Finally, Invierno Street will also see a change in traffic direction, so it will be accessed from Primavera Street. Another option is to take the new left turn on Alfonso Puchades to enter Mirador Street and from there access Invierno Street.
"With these measures, we aim to protect residents and improve sustainable mobility, reducing CO2 emissions and optimising routes," stated Muñoz, who explained to residents that "there will be more fluid traffic and turning opportunities for drivers and residents in the area."
According to Francis Muñoz, another advantage of this new traffic reorganisation is that "we will contribute to the implementation and proper functioning of the Low Emission Zone because one of the consequences will be the diversion of unnecessary traffic along Ruzafa Street, thereby helping to relieve congestion on this road."
