The enclosure, which is being cleared, will have a new fence and double gate for greater pet safety
Benidorm carries out improvement work in the dog park next to the bullring
Benidorm City Council's Municipal Technical Services are carrying out improvements to the dog park located in the leisure and recreation park next to the bullring. The Department of Public Space announced today that clearing work is already underway inside and outside the park, which is very popular with pet owners and their animals.
The work includes replacing the front of the existing fence and installing a new one with a double gate to prevent pets from escaping. Councillor Francis Muñoz also noted that "existing gaps are being filled and the area is being reinforced with more sand to make it much more comfortable for people to walk through."
The project also includes the improvement and renovation of much of the street furniture inside the park, and the work will continue for two weeks, "because we are waiting for some of the materials that have been ordered to arrive," the councillor explained.
Furthermore, the signage at the entrance to the enclosure, which displays the rules for owners and their pets, will be replaced. Muñoz also announced that they are working to improve the dog park's surroundings by installing an agility area to enhance the pets' dexterity and skills.
