Until December 31, more than 207,000 vouchers were used in the 630 affiliated establishments
5.7 million euros in 83,000 consumption vouchers: #BenidormTeDaMás vouchers mark a new milestone
#BenidormTeDaMás consumer voucher campaign ends in the Christmas 2022 edition with notorious figures that have benefited the public and affiliated establishments in which between December 15 and 31, 83,186 actions of consumption in which 207,340 vouchers have been used for an economic computation of five million six hundred eighty-eight thousand euros (€5,688,000).
The mayor, Toni Pérez, has celebrated these figures, noting that "with this initiative, residents and the local productive fabric are favored, stimulating the economy and encouraging consumption at a particular time such as Christmas holidays." After these data, Pérez said, "it is confirmed that #BenidormTeDaMás campaigns are an excellent formula to stimulate economic activity, achieving the double objective of helping families in a time of difficulty, marked by the increase in the price of energy and of the shopping basket, and to reactivate commercial activity in the city”.
In #BenidormTeDaMás campaign from December 15 to 31, 2022, a total of 45,530 registered residents in Benidorm, out of a total of 63,721 -as of December 1, 2022, and who were 18 years old as of December 31-, 277,600 vouchers were downloaded of which 207,340 were redeemed; 74.69%. Toni Pérez highlighted that 71.45% of those registered benefited from this campaign.
Toni Pérez highlighted that "630 establishments from 18 sectors of commercial activity have participated in this Christmas campaign". Fashion and accessories, hotels and restaurants, beauty and well-being, and food have been the most numerous with 152, 105, 66, and 65 adhered establishments, respectively. In Food, vouchers amounting to half a million euros were transacted, which had an impact of 1.5 million. Likewise, the number of professional services establishments (43), footwear (39), technology, electronics and household appliances (21), and optics (20) made up the most numerous proposals. The list of establishments affiliated with #BenidormTeDaMás was completed by the sectors of decoration and home (18), bookstore-stationery (16), hardware store (15), jewelry (14), leisure and free time (14), sports (12), perfumery (11), toy store (9), pets (9) and flower shop (1)
#BenidormTeDaMás consumption voucher was available to all adults registered in Benidorm on December 31. The vouchers, as in previous editions, were requested on the website www.bonobenidormtedamas.es and from the Consumers department, users registered to have 5 vouchers of 10 euros that were available to them in the BuyBono application, in format QR code, or they could be downloaded in *.pdf format and printed. Both on the web and in the App, the list of affiliated Benidorm establishments in which to exchange the vouchers was available.
Pérez recalled, to facilitate the process, "a public service point was set up that has generated more than 3,000 vouchers, serving more than 600 people."
Pérez described this new campaign as a "success" that "adds results and, mainly, impact on society and the productive fabric" to previous editions of #BenidormTeDaMás, at Christmas last year and in mid-May ”. The mayor said that "Benidorm was a pioneer" in these campaigns that "has been replicated, with certain differences, in most towns in the province of Alicante."
For this edition of #BenidormTeDaMás, the City Council reserved 3.7 million euros and has already made the payment of the first remittance -vouchers between December 15 and 20- for an amount of 615,000 euros, 60% higher than the remittance paid last year in the same period that was 249,000 euros.
Benidorm City Council also requested to participate in the call for funds launched by the Provincial Council of Alicante for campaigns to promote consumption under the formula of consumer vouchers. According to the bases of that call, due to its volume of population, Benidorm would receive the aid of 292,491 euros.
