During the month that the section is closed to traffic, access to Pino, Buen Pastor and Jupiter streets will only be allowed to residents and ambulances

The work to make Tomás Ortuño street pedestrian arrives next week at the junction with Venus and Mars

22 February 2019
La obra de peatonalización de Tomás Ortuño llega la próxima semana al cruce con Venus y Marte

The work of the third phase of Tomás Ortuño Street will arrive next Tuesday, February 26, at the junction with Venus and Mars, thus reaching the third and last stretch projected. The works in this third section with those that are being developed in the second, the one that goes from the streets Limones and Carrasco to Jupiter and Pine.

As a result of the works, this third section will be closed to traffic for approximately one month, time in which it is estimated that the actions to improve the water network will be carried out. Meanwhile, the streets Pino, Buen Pastor and Jupiter will remain as 'bottom of bag', functioning as two-way roads with access only allowed to residents - and in the case of Jupiter, also ambulances are left to the health center of Tomás Ortuño-.

This third phase includes the complete renovation of Tomás Ortuño section between the streets Limones-Carrasco and Marte-Venus, both on the surface and in the subsoil. Thus, in addition to remodeling the sidewalks, road and urban scene, it is planned to renew the entire sewage network of Tomás Ortuño with a new pipeline and a new collector; build a well for the collection of rainwater; prolong the collection network executed in the previous phase of pedestrianization; and change the supply network. This project has also included the renovation of Carrasco Street, reopened to traffic two weeks ago.
