The City Council awards Telefónica the electronic administration and security against cyber attacks
Benidorm City Council has awarded Telefónica through a public tender, the services of electronic administration, positioning in the network, computer security and the execution of consulting projects. The contract will last 4 years and the councilor for Contracting and New Technologies, Lourdes Caselles has stressed that the ultimate goal is "to increase the reliability, security and efficiency of the communications services of the Benidorm City Council".
In this sense, Telefónica will prepare an audit of the municipality's networks to detect vulnerabilities and thus guarantee their proper functioning and security against external cyber attacks.
In accordance with the specifications, Telefónica will also be responsible for managing the electronic administration services and the digital strategy of the City Council. Likewise, Telefónica will implement a technical office to monitor compliance with regulations, which includes the National Security Scheme and the General Data Protection Regulation.
