The contest will take place until July 3 in several of the most emblematic locations of the city
Tonight begins the II Festival 'Dansa al carrer' by Les Ones with 'Fugants' and Aleksandra Vucheva
The second edition of the Festival 'Dansa al carrer' of Les Ones will start this afternoon at 8:30 p.m. in Elche Park. The contest will be held from today until July 3 and already had as an appetizer a performance by the city's dance academies last week.
The official program begins today, Thursday, with the performance of Aleksandra Vucheva and 'A hug without you' in Elche Park at 8:30 p.m. Thirty minutes later it will be the turn of 'Fugants', from the Federica Fassano Company. Tomorrow, Friday, July 1, dance moves to Plaça del Castell, with the show 'Andrómeda', by Eduardo Ignacio Fizona and Lidia Lara, at 8:30 p.m. At 9:00 p.m., Simpar Collective will represent its 'Siam Effect'.
Saturday's session is starred by the Until it Fits Company with 'Yo-yo' at 9:00 p.m. in Plaça Sant Jaume; and at 9:30 p.m., in the same location, Otra Danza with 'La Banda'. Les Ones will say goodbye on Sunday from Plaça del Castell with the Paula Serrano Company and 'If you're looking for me, you'll find me' at 8:30 p.m., and 'They're not eyes because you see them, they're eyes because they look at you', by Cave Canem, at 9:00 p.m.
The Councilor for Culture, Jaime Jesús Pérez, explained that this festival "gives visibility to contemporary dance and brings it closer to the public by placing the performances at street level, in some of the most emblematic locations of our city, which thus become on the stage where the proposals of Les Ones parade”.
Pérez has pointed out that the second edition of the festival, organized by the Department and coordinated by Lidia Lara, "grows in the number of performances and also in complementary activities", since in addition to the exhibition of local dance schools last week, also several master classes and a dance workshop are planned”.
He has also highlighted that they are "well-known or well-known artists and companies from the Valencian Community and Benidorm that propose innovative proposals that will capture the public's attention and contribute to arousing even more interest in contemporary dance."
The scheduled performances will include master classes by Federica Fasano and Cave Canem Company, as well as the 'Unexpected Body' workshop by Paula Serrano.
