Iberia Festival opens its 9th edition with the current sound of Sidecars and the usual hits of Seguridad Social

09 October 2021
1ª jornada Iberia Festival 2021

Iberia Festival opened its 9th edition yesterday, offering a night of the best national pop-rock, now and forever. With the first bars of the afternoon, the Tarraco-Valencian band Ñekü, immersed in its El Nido tour, was in charge of warming up the festival's engines; giving way to the young singer-songwriter Ainoa Buitrago, who before the public performed the songs that make up her first studio album that will be published in just a few days.
In the middle of the first day, it was time for Social Security. The band led by José Manuel Casañ, an 'old' acquaintance of Iberia, yesterday signed one of its best performances at the festival and did not save any of the songs that have made it one of the reference groups of Spanish pop from the 80s and the 90s such as 'Baila mi rumba', 'Quiero tener tu presencia', 'Calavera', 'Comerranas' and 'Chiquilla', as well as the well-known versions  'Acuarela' by Toquinho's and 'Un beso y una flor' by Nino Bravo.
Sidecars made a stop at Iberia festival during its tour ‘Ruido de fondo’ and were in charge of closing the first night of the festival in style. On the stage of Julio Iglesias auditorium, the band was displaying in perfect synchrony themes from their latest album such as' Galaxia ',' Garabatos' and 'Mundo imperfecto' with their most followed and sung songs such as' Fan de ti 'or 'Contra las cuerdas'.
The second day of this edition will start at 6:00 p.m. with a tribute to the great David Bowie, with Bowie: out of the ashes. Next, the stage will be for the Benidorm band Locos de Atar; which will be followed by Danza Invisible. The closing of the night will have its own name, that of the mythical Hombres G.
