The test, with the name of 'On the first line' and organized by the Sociocultural Association of the Local Police, will run along Levante and Poniente beaches
Benidorm will host a charity race for the benefit of Aspanion on September 24
On September 24, the solidarity race of 10K, 5K, and Popular March will be held in Benidorm organized by the Sociocultural Association of the Local Police of Benidorm. A test whose profits will go entirely to the Aspanion Association for children with cancer.
The race, which is called 'On the front line', has been presented today at the Mayor's Office and has the collaboration of the Department of Sports and the Benidorm Athletics Club. Its route will run along Levante and Poniente beaches. The mayor Toni Pérez, the mayor of the Local Police Luis Martín Arévalo, and the representative of the Sociocultural Association of the Local Police Manuel Villalón were present at the meeting. Fran Morcuende, president of the Aspanion Local Board; and the Councilors for Sports and Public Safety, Javier Jordá and Jesús Carrobles.
As Villalón explained, the name of the race originates from the fact that it represents “the first line of struggle in which those boys and girls are found who tirelessly, day by day, fight the disease; represents the struggle of the Local Police in that first line of daily attention to citizens; it represents the itinerary of the race that will take place along the first line of the Levante and Poniente beaches, and it represents the support that all of us must give to the situation that these boys and girls live by accompanying them in that first line of solidarity”.
