The mayor emphasizes that "Benidorm families increasingly rely on this service, which greatly facilitates work-life balance"
FAMPA Marina Baixa Summer School reaches half a thousand students enrolled in two months

The Summer School, organised annually by FAMPA Marina Baixa, in close collaboration with the Departments of Education and Social Welfare, reached almost 500 students this year during July and August. In July, there were 292 students and in August, 206. There was also a large attendance at the school canteen service provided as part of the event.
Mayor Toni Pérez visited the Summer School held at Miguel Hernández school today with the Councillors for Education and Social Welfare, Maite Moreno and Ángela Zaragozí. There, he had the opportunity to greet the students, see the work and activities they are doing, and wish them a happy summer.
After the visit, the mayor emphasised that "we meet all the demands of the many families in Benidorm who increasingly rely on this service, promoted by the City Council and organised by the FAMPA Marina Baixa." Pérez emphasised that the attendance figures demonstrate "the suitability of this educational initiative, which facilitates work-life balance for a large number of families in Benidorm, and where the little ones learn while having fun and sharing experiences."
In this regard, in addition to the lunch service, the program also offers the "Morning School" and "Afternoon School." "The entire time slot from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. is covered, greatly facilitating work-life balance," Pérez emphasised.
As in previous years, families have had the opportunity to enrol their children, ages 3 to 14, for weeks, fortnights, or for the entire month, with the Summer School being tailored to the needs of each household. The City Council is subsidising up to 50% of the tuition fee for all families registered in the city, with a financial contribution of 18,000 euros, which is allocated to the educational component of the Summer School program.
Similarly, the City Council, through the Department of Social Welfare, has also subsidised the program for 25 students in two integration classrooms. At El Secanet School in La Vila Joiosa, another eight students are also subsidised 100% by the Department of Social Welfare.
Finally, the Mayor emphasised that the Summer School "joins the rest of the educational, social, training, and sports resources launched by the City Council" during the summer period "to serve the youngest members of the household" and "to facilitate the social, work, and family balance for the citizens of Benidorm."
