Benidorm temporarily reopens Rajarell road to facilitate access to the beach from Xixo
Benidorm City Council provisionally reopens Rajarell road to facilitate pedestrian access to Poniente beach from the residential areas of Xixo. The councilors of Urbanism and Mobility, Lourdes Caselles and José Ramón González de Zárate, recalled that "due to the urbanization of the Unit of Action 1 West, last November had to cut this private road, which usually used the neighbors to get to the beach and that is included within the scope of the work ". However, "we committed ourselves to the neighbors to reopen it when the good weather arrived and the first vacation appointments of the year, and this is what we are fulfilling since the first of these appointments is this Bridge of San José that begins today".
De Zárate recalled that "it is a provisional opening because although the road is completely passable and is illuminated, the urbanization of the area is not yet finished." In fact, as soon as the works are completed, this road - currently a gravel road - will be converted into a road at least 16 meters wide, which will be able to use vehicles and pedestrians with all the safety guarantees.
The reopening of Rajarell's road will take place throughout the afternoon.
