The mayor receives the professional cyclist from Manizales Diana Carolina Peñuela

The mayor, Toni Pérez, received this morning the professional cyclist Diana Carolina Peñuela, a native of Manizales (Colombia), a town twinned with Benidorm. Peñuela lives and trains in Benidorm and surroundings after knowing the area as a result of a 'stage' with her team, the Italian Ale Cipollini. Peñuela, who recently participated in the III Volta Comunitat Valenciana Fèmines, has moved to the mayor that in her first visit was very attracted by the orography of the area and also very interested in knowing the link between Benidorm and her city of birth. A link that, in addition to the fluid relations between both cities, is reflected in the street map of both. Thus, Benidorm has a square called Manizales, and in the Colombian city there is also a square that bears the name of the tourist capital of the Costa Blanca.
