Benidorm organizes a fair to guide 4th ESO students about their educational and work future
The Department of Education has organized for the next week a fair to guide fundamentally to students of 4th of the ESO -and their families- on the educational and employment possibilities. The mayor, Toni Pérez, who is also in charge of the Education area, explained that 'Fira Orienta't 2018' will take place from 8 to 10 May in Carrer de Pilota of the Palau d'Esports; a location that has been chosen "due to its proximity to the educational complex of Salt de l'Aigua and the parking possibilities offered".
Pérez pointed out that the objectives of 'Orienta't 2018' are "to put students and their families in direct contact with centers or bodies of interest so that they know, confirm or expand the employment possibilities and above all the training they can obtain" and "provide the opportunity to produce a realistic reflection on the interests and doubts of students" in the face of the choice of their educational, training or employment future. It is, therefore, "to give support to the guidance departments of the institutes"
The fair will have a total of 22 stands among centers, entities or institutions. In addition to the five Secondary Education Institutes (IES) of Benidorm, the concerted school Nuestra Señora de los Dolores, the Adult School (EPA), Lope de Vega school, the IES Marcos Zaragoza and the Malladeta from Villajoyosa, the Tourism Center (CdT) Domingo Devesa, the School of Art and Technology of Valencia (ESAT), the AIRCO Aeronautical Training Center, the UNED, the Official School of Architects of the University of Alicante, the Metal Business Federation of the Province of Alicante (FEMPA), the Youth Information Center, the Agency for Employment and Local Development (AEDL), the National Police, the Ministry of Defense, the Local Police, the Academy of Hairdressing and Aesthetics Arce Training and Center for Studies Renoldi of the Lasvi Academy.
The fair will have morning and evening hours. Thus, from 08.30 to 14.30 hours access is reserved for groups of students; while from 3 pm to 5 pm, access will be free.
The mayor announced that 'Orienta't 2018' "is born as an orientation experience". It will be the local school community "the one that evaluates the fair" and based on the result will be studied the actions to undertake in the face of upcoming courses.
