Benidorm has exposed its experience in intelligent tourism management in a conference held in Murcia, organized by Aenor and titled 'Success cases in tourist intelligence in organizations and tourist destinations'. In these days, the manager of the Visit Benidorm Foundation, Leire Bilbao, and the mayor, Toni Pérez, explained that the implementation of smart tourism is part of Benidorm's commitment to achieve the certification of Smart Tourist Destination, in which it has been working for a year; and have detailed how the use of new communication technologies in the destination has been introduced and how this management model has influenced the marketing and promotion of the city, as well as the main technological initiatives that are being implemented.
Among those attending this conference it was the general director of the Institute of Tourism of the Region of Murcia (Itrem), Manuel Fernández-Delgado.
