Benidorm commemorates the Lletres Valencianes Day with a public reading of 'Tirant lo Blanc'
Benidorm celebrates on Monday, November 20, the Day of the Lletres Valencianes with a public reading of 'Tirant lo Blanc', a work by Joanot Martorell published in 1490, in the Valencian Golden Century. The councilor of Historical Heritage, Ana Pellicer, explained that the Day of the Lletres Valencianes "commemorates the first edition of this work, considered one of the literary creations more important of the genre of Cavalry, and for that reason it has been considered that 'Tirant lo Blanc' was the most appropriate reading to celebrate this anniversary. "
The public and continued reading will be held in l'Hort de Colon, "one of the most emblematic spaces of our city", and will begin at 12.00 with the participation of the members of the corporation and volunteers who want to join this commemoration.
Those interested in participating in this activity should contact the Central Library via email -biblioteca@benidorm.org- or call 96 585 50 98.
