The beaches and coves of Benidorm renew the Qualitur flag, which proves its quality and excellence

04 June 2018
Les platges i cales de Benidorm renoven la bandera Qualitur, que acredita la seua qualitat i excel·lència

The beaches of Levante, Poniente and Mal Pas and the coves of Ti Ximo and l'Almadraba in Benidorm have once again renewed the Qualitur flag, which proves their quality and excellence and which is delivered annually by the Valencian Agency of Tourism. The councilor of Beaches, Lorenzo Martínez, has collected it from the Secretary of Tourism, Francesc Colomer, in an event held in the port of La Vila Joiosa.

Martínez indicated that these Qualitur flags come "once again to reward the excellence in terms of tourist quality of the beaches of Benidorm, and to value the commitment of this government team to maintain that quality standard to continue being pioneers and reference in tourism "

The Qualitur flag, which will be hoisted next Thursday on the beaches of the city, is linked to compliance with ISO 9001 and 14001 standards of Quality and Environment. In total, 172 beaches from 35 destinations in the Valencian Community have achieved this recognition.

In addition to the Qualitur, the beaches of Levante, Poniente and Mal Pas also have the Blue Flag and the Q of Quality. Likewise, the coves of l'Almadraba and Ti Ximo, like the three urban beaches, comply with the EMAS Regulation; and the point of accessible beaches of Elche Park is one of the few in Levante that has the Universal Accessibility certification that regulates the UNE 170001-1 and 170001-2 standards.
