Aid from Benidorm City Council to promote the creation and start-up of new companies and entrepreneurial projects can be requested starting tomorrow, September 6, and until December 31. The Councilor for Employment and Local Promotion, Mónica Gómez, explained that “once the rules have already been published in the Official Gazette of the Province, the period to opt for these aids, which range between 800 and 1,200 euros, opens. and that constitutes support for people who are starting a self-employed professional activity in Benidorm.”

Gómez stressed that “one of the main objectives of this aid is economic promotion and job creation in Benidorm”; and she recalled that “in this year's call we reserved 80,000 euros for this line of aid, double the initial contribution of 2022; a contribution that we had to increase to 74,000 euros to meet all the requests received.”

In this regard, the councilor stated that "in the last two years there has been a gradual increase in the number of entrepreneurial projects launched in the city."

To be eligible for this line of aid, interested parties must register or have registered as self-employed, with tax domicile in Benidorm, between October 1, 2022, and September 30, 2023, and have started their economic activity between those dates.

They must also be registered in the census of taxpayers and the Special Regime for Self-Employed Workers before applying, but they must not have been registered in the three months before the start of the activity.

They may not have been beneficiaries of this aid in either of the two previous years and must be registered in Benidorm or request an opening license for a business located in the city.

Applications can be submitted from tomorrow until December 31 on the website (https://sede.benidorm.org) with the required documentation.

The aid ranges between 800 and 1,200 euros. The first will go to entrepreneurs who establish themselves as self-employed workers with tax domicile in Benidorm and are registered in the city. Entrepreneurs who are not registered in Benidorm but establish themselves as self-employed, with tax domicile in the city, and process an opening license at the Benidorm City Council will also be able to access these grants of 800 euros.

As regards the aid of 1,200 euros, will go to professionals who register as self-employed workers with tax domicile in Benidorm, who are registered in the city, and who process an opening license at Benidorm City Council. , as stated in the bases.

A technical commission will be in charge of evaluating the applications and proposing the approval or denial of the aid, as well as the allocation of the subsidized amounts.
