75% of the incidents reported to the Green Line, solved

03 March 2017
El 75% de las incidencias comunicadas a la Línea Verde, resueltas

75% of the incidents detected by citizens on public roads and communicated to the City Council through the Green Line service have already been solved. According to the figures transferred by Councilor for Environment and Urban Scene, José Ramón González de Zarate, up to January a total of 1,058 incidents have been received through this service, mostly related to sidewalks and roadways, cleaning, lighting and citizen security.

De Zárate said that this data shows that the service, put into service three years ago, "has been very well received by citizens, who can communicate on the spot and quickly and easily on their smartphone or tablet Malfunction or incidence that they observe in the street ".

The councillor stressed that thanks to the geolocation system, the Green Line app "automatically detects the exact coordinates in which the incident is located", which can also be attached a photo and a brief description.

Once the user has sent the incident, the City Council receives a notification and initiates the procedures to solve it. De Zárate stated that "the user is always aware of the status of the incident through the notifications he receives on his mobile device."

The Green Line application is free and available in the Play Store and APP Store. In addition to the section of communication of incidents, the service has a section aimed at favoring the use of "good environmental practices" and another one of environmental consultations.
