Waste Data
The Department of the Environment monitors the waste generated in the municipality of Benidorm.
Since selective glass collection began in 1992, the number of containers and recoverable waste has been increasing progressively.
Currently and through different companies, the removal of:
Urban Solid Waste (grey container)
Packaging and packaging waste (yellow container)
Glass (green container)
Paper/cardboard (blue container)
Button batteries and electric batteries (eco batteries)
Vegetable oils (eco-park and mobile eco-park)
Clothing and footwear (clothing container)
Fluorescent tubes (ecopark and mobile ecopark)
Benidorm has three facilities for waste management: a TRANSFER PLANT for the reception of urban solid waste; a LIGHT PACKAGING PLANT for the collection of all packaging and packaging waste from zone XV, and an ECOPARK where citizens can deposit different waste.
