Recycling

The Department of the Environment monitors the waste generated in the municipality of Benidorm.

Since selective glass collection began in 1992, the number of containers and recoverable waste has been increasing progressively.

Currently and through different companies, the withdrawal of:

• Urban Solid Waste.
  Containers.
  Glass.
  Paper/cardboard.
  Button batteries and electric batteries.
  Vegetable oils.
  Clothes and shoes.
  Fluorescent tubes.

To this end, Benidorm has three facilities for waste management:

• TRANSFER PLANT, for the reception of urban solid waste
• CONTAINERS PLANT, for the collection of all packaging waste from zone XV
• ECOPARK, where different waste can be deposited by citizens
