Smart Destination Management Organization
Benidorm City Council has had a Managing Body since March 2016 to coordinate the implementation of the SGDTI, as well as ensure that it complies with the UNE 178501 standard, and inform the SGDTI Manager about the performance of the SGDTI through reviews and the different audits carried out to comply with the objectives, policy and continuous improvement of the system.

In addition, there is a Governing Council of the DTI Managing Entity, whose objectives are:
- Creation of a forum for meeting, consultation, promotion and permanent advice that participates in the decisions and actions carried out by the City Council and that affect the DTI of the municipality of Benidorm.
- Establish a regulatory channel through which demands related to the improvement of the municipality's DTI management system, raised by interested parties, are channeled.
- Enhance the competitiveness of the town, through innovative actions applied to the Smart Tourist Destination.
- Promote measures and projects that respond to the objectives established in the SGDTI
- Analyze the impact of the DTI on the productive sectors of the city, its potential, weaknesses and complementary aspects.
