Youth organizes a course for Educational Leisure Time instructor from April to June

The Youth Department of Benidorm City Council is going to run a course for Educational Leisure Time Monitors for children and young people that will take place from April to June. The course has a maximum of 30 places, is aimed at young people over 16 years old and the registration fee is 130 euros.

The general objectives of the course are to analyse the educational context of sociocultural animation, to locate the monitor by defining his function, to learn the design and programming of activities, to provide resources and acting techniques and to train for the development of activities.

The course, which will take place from April 5 to June 14 on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m., trains for work in camps, summer schools, school canteens, etc., which are activities where the internship can be carried out. The duration of the course is 150 teaching hours, of which 45 will be online, 105 in person and 160 practice hours.

The course content includes free-time education activities (fundamentals, legislation, context, values, social participation, projects, methodology, project design and development of activities, health and accident prevention), group and educational processes (personal development, integration, dynamics and role of the monitor) and animation techniques and resources (animation and creativity, workshops and activities, audiovisual media, dances, songs, evenings, games, environmental education and camping).

The registration period is now open. The application form must be submitted, to which a passport-size photograph, the formalised payment receipt and a photocopy of the ID must be attached. For more information and to register, those interested must go to the Youth Information Centre.
