PSOE denounces the deterioration of the Llorca Linares Social Center and demands urgent action

The Socialist Municipal Group has criticised Toni Pérez's government for its neglect and apathy. José Llorca Linares Social Centre's facilities are in a lamentable state. Thus, the socialist spokesperson, Cristina Escoda, has denounced the large hole in the ceiling for more than two months.

Escoda has explained that part of the air conditioning ducts that have been left visible are being held in place with a prop and, in addition, an area of ​​the ground floor has had to be cordoned off with fences to avoid accidents due to possible landslides. “This is the image that we are giving to the large number of residents who use these municipal facilities daily,” she stressed.

She also explained that inside the building there are cracks in several walls and damage to the carpentry. The exterior has an abandoned appearance with peeling walls, rusty enclosures, signage degraded by the sun and official flags in tatters.

The councillor recalled that for the last two years, they have been planning to include in the municipal budget a sufficient amount for the much-needed reform of José Llorca Linares Social Centre, and she regretted the continued refusal of the Popular Party government to implement this measure. “We do not understand the government's refusal when this social centre needs urgent action,” she said.

However, Escoda has called on the mayor to put aside his visits around the province looking for the best photo and his trips around Spain to cheer on his boss Mazón and focus on managing his city and solving the serious problems that many municipal buildings have.
