After being received in the hall of the City Council by, Lourdes Caselles, councillor for Urbanism ,they attended a lecture given by the municipal architect José Luis Camarasa, in which it is argued that "the beaches and skyscrapers in Benidorm coexist in harmony," offering "a good example of environmentally sustainable model."
The Mare Nostrum project, co-funded by the European Union, examines the different regulations about management of coastal areas in the Mediterranean.
