Triathlon event is held this Sunday with more than 700 athletes
Triwhite Cup 2018 circuit starts the season in Benidorm
The Triwhite Cup 2018 circuit, possibly the most important and popular in the Mediterranean area, starts its season in Benidorm this Sunday, April 15. A first meeting in which the participation of more than 700 triathletes from a hundred clubs in Spain is expected.
At Poniente beach and its surroundings, athletes will face swimming, cycling and running races in three categories or distances: Olympic (1,500 meters of swimming + 40 kilometers of cycling + 10 kilometers of running), Sprint (750 meters of swimming + 20 kilometers by bike + 5 of the race) and 'Super Sprint' (300 meters of swimming + 10 kilometers of cycling + 2.5 kilometers of running).
From the Department of Mobility cuts and traffic restrictions have been reported that will involve organization and development of the test. Thus, the Vicente Llorca Alós avenue between Vinarós and Tibi streets, and that of El Murtal between the beach and Santander street will remain closed to traffic from 08:00 hours on Saturday, November 14 to 7:00 pm on Sunday due to the tasks of assembly and disassembly.
During Saturday, access will be allowed to the fords on Avenida de Vicente Llorca Alós, but not during the day on Sunday, which will be banned by this route until the completion of the dismantling work at around 7:00 p.m.
On Sunday, the day of the competition, the Sprint and Supersprint circuits will be cut between 08.00 and 13.00 hours for the development of the cycling event. This area runs along Paseo Tamarindos, Avenida Vicente Llorca Alós, Villajoyosa -tram between the Police post and Murtal, Mexico, Colombia, Alcalde Vicente Pérez Devesa -walk towards the urban area-, Nicaragua, final section of Jaime I and Armada Spanish. In addition, from 08.00 to 10.00 hours it will not be possible to circulate along the section of Juan Pablo II avenue that connects with the roundabout 3 towards Terra Mítica, since this is part of the Olympic circuit.
