A total of 230 children have obtained a place in the municipal nursery schools and the SAPI Nanets

The Department of Education will publish tomorrow, day 18, the provisional lists of admitted in the three municipal infantile schools of Benidorm and in the Service of Attention to the Early Childhood (SAPI) Nanets. In total, 230 children from 0 to 2 years have obtained a place, and 97 have been placed on the waiting list, according to the information provided by the mayor, Toni Pérez, who is also in charge of the Education area.

The number of registered applications has been 331, although it is worth remembering that this year the enrollment for P2 classrooms enabled by the Conselleria and City Council in schools Aitana, Vasco Nuñez de Balboa, Puig Campana and Mestre Gaspar López has not coincided with  the infantile school and SAPI, but with the ordinary one of Infantile, Primary and ESO. In fact, the deadline to apply for a place in these classrooms -with a total capacity for 72 students- has been opened today and will continue until next Thursday, the 24th.

Most of the applications received, 287, are from families registered in Benidorm, while 40 correspond to family units that have their residence in other locations and four have been discarded. All places in municipal nursery schools have been assigned to families living in the city, giving priority to those who have been registered for more than a year. In addition, 205 families (71.43%) have obtained a place in the center they had requested as a first option.

The mayor recalled that only family units with all their members registered in Benidorm will be included in the official waiting list to obtain a seat if there are vacants throughout the course.

The provisional lists will be available from tomorrow in the administrative extensions, in the Department of Education, in the infantile schools and in the dependencies of the SAPI. Families wishing to claim may do so until Wednesday, May 23.

On the other hand, the mayor informed that it is waiting for the Ministry of Education to publish the conditions and dates of request for the Children's Voucher of the Generalitat Valenciana and that the announcement made by this administration regarding the possible free of charge of the service for P2 students.
