At the opening of the “Women and Work” conference, the mayor of Benidorm encourages them to set quality objectives
Toni Pérez bets on social development and equality
Benidorm hosts, this afternoon and tomorrow, a Business Conference organized under the title "Women and Work" organized by the Association of Women Entrepreneurs of the Marina Baixa, MEMBA, in the Assembly Hall of the City Hall.
At the opening ceremony, the mayor of Benidorm welcomed half a hundred attendees and encouraged them to "combine capacity and management" while exposing them "not to understand development without the social and equality components."
He gave, precisely, as an example of his commitment to equality and the inclusion of women in all social and labor orbits his own government team: "eight women, of thirteen members." In his political proposal, he said, the commitment to equality was in his favor - "thirteen women and twelve men" - which are "the reflection of understanding political life as well."
The act was attended by the spokesman councilors, Lourdes Caselles; Equality, Ángela Zaragozí; and Employment and Development, Mónica Gómez; along with the councilors Ana María Cañadas and Ana Pérez Sebastiá.
Toni Pérez congratulated himself that this meeting in Benidorm was “women thinking about society” and encouraged them to “never set goals of quantity and yes of quantity”.
The conference began with a presentation to Dr. Empar Aguado-Bloise, from the University of Valencia (Department of Sociology and Anthropology) who has reviewed the participation of women in the workplace, the effects of crises in the employment and projection of women, and has continued with the discussion table “Women and Economy” where union representatives of CCOO and UGT - Cloti Ivorra and Yaissel Sánchez - have spoken with WellComTour director, Lisa Hristova, moderating the president of MEMBA, María José Tent.
In the day tomorrow two debate tables will be held focusing on new technology and entrepreneurship, in which representatives of groups and professionals of the Law and other fields of activity will participate.
The conference is aimed at working women and entrepreneurs, as well as associations and groups of women interested in economics, employment and entrepreneurship as an opportunity to share reflections, studies and perspectives to get proposals that help improve the situation of Women in the workplace.
