Today, the Yacht Club is hosting an awareness-raising activity about the marine natural heritage
The event consisted of a talk and workshop, followed by a scavenger hunt for students from the Sailing School
Benidorm Yacht Club, in collaboration with Serra Gelada Natural Park, organised a special event today to mark World Marine Protected Areas Day. It was a memorable day during which students from the Club's Sailing School took part in an environmental awareness activity led by the Natural Park's environmental educators.
Through an interactive talk and workshop, the Dinghies, Crew, Sailors and Optimist Racing Team groups explored the importance of protecting the valuable marine natural heritage surrounding the Serra Gelada protected natural area. The day concluded with a fun team-based nautical scavenger hunt, where participants used kayaks and stand-up paddleboards to put everything they had learned into practice. Victory went to the team that had paid the closest attention throughout the day's activities.
Benidorm Yacht Club thanked Serra Gelada Natural Park and its coastal environment team for their collaboration and expressed its commitment to continuing to develop joint initiatives that promote knowledge of and respect for the marine environment among young sailors, helping to ensure the conservation of this unique natural area for future generations.
