Servigroup Hoteles Benidorm have begun the 2026–27 pre-season with the first training session at Palau d'Esports l'Illa de Benidorm, marking the start of a new campaign in which the Benidorm side will once again compete in the Spanish Men's División de Honor Plata, to fight for promotion back to the ASOBAL League.

Benidorm Mayor Toni Pérez attended the opening training session alongside several members of the local government and regional MP José Ramón González de Zárate. They greeted the players, the coaching staff led by Alejandro Cutanda, and club president Jacobo Balongo. Addressing the squad, the mayor reaffirmed the City Council's support for the team and highlighted that Servigroup Hoteles Benidorm is "a benchmark for the city, especially for young people, thanks to the values of hard work, determination and commitment that it represents." He also encouraged the players and coaching staff to approach the new season with ambition as they once again compete for promotion.

Club president Jacobo Balongo thanked Benidorm City Council for its continued support of the club, as well as the commitment of its sponsors, whose backing is essential to ensuring the team can embark on another competitive campaign with confidence.

The squad features several new additions ahead of the 2026–27 season, including line player Diego Vera, who joined in June from BM Guadalajara and brings ASOBAL League experience, and Estonian international Hendrik Koks. Both players have been confirmed as key reinforcements for the club's new sporting project.
