The councilors of Historical Heritage and Employment, Ana Pellicer and María Jesús Pinto, were present at the presentation of the program that took place this morning at Boca del Calvari Museum. It highlights a series of visits through its facilities and those of the nearby l'Hort de Colón museum. The event was presented by Elena Lavara, director of T'Avalem del Rincón de Loix project and the cultural manager Verónica Quiles, a teacher of the course of socio-cultural and community animators launched by the Department of Employment.

Elena Lavara recalled that her project involved 20 "student-employees" under 30 years. 10 of them are formed to obtain the professional certificate of masonry and the rest are formed to obtain the invigorating activities of free time educational, children and youth. The initiative proposes theatrical visits to Hort de Colón through the eyes of people such as Captain Maximiliano Llorca Fuster and his wife Catalina Zaragoza Llinares and other representatives of Benidorm from the first four of the twentieth century, interpreted by students from T'Avalem who will interact with those of primary and secondary that come to the scheduled visits.

In addition to this journey through the history of the city, the proposals are complemented by other activities such as talks and visits to the Municipal Library, programs for the promotion of values for Halloween or Christmas, workshops on family diversity, talks on myths and taboos and orientation and information on associationism, volunteering and scholarships.

After the presentation, the councilor of Historical Heritage has intervened to reaffirm that with this proposal "we put together all the pieces of a gear" that will allow us to "know our history, our past" in a dynamic, fun and educational. Pellicer has stressed that in a city that "has always been looking at the future", it should not be forgotten "that we have a past linked with the merchant navy."

For her part, the head of Employment and Local Development, María Jesús Pinto, thanked on behalf of and in the name of all her employees the "good work done" and their "deep satisfaction" because with this project the students offer to the town of Benidorm "the opportunity to remember its history".
