The Summer Youth Camp travels to Toledo this year from July 16 to 30
The Department of Youth organizes one more year the Summer Camp, which this year takes place in the complex El Piélago cabins, in the town of Navamorcuende Toledo, from July 16 to 30. The Councilor for Youth, Ana Pellicer, and the head of the department, José Romeu, have indicated that this activity is aimed at children aged 8 to 16 years old - both ages included - and that the registrations are already open.
Pellicer has detailed that within the programming of the camp, there are planned "two cultural outings -one to Toledo and another that will materialize soon-, workshops, emotional intelligence activities, multiadventure and environment, sports, games, monographic days, hiking, evenings or theater ". Part of the activities will be done in English, and participants will also practice "formulas of greeting, gratitude and basic language" in "French, Chinese or Russian to familiarize themselves with these languages and with customs and behaviors in different cultures".
The council has encouraged children interested in attending "to sign up now," because "we have many regulars who repeat year after year until they reach the maximum age." The number of places available is 50.
For his part, the head of the Department of Youth has highlighted "the importance of the animation team, which differentiates us greatly from other summer camps." Thus, he explained that "in our team we meet teachers, psychologists, leisure and free time monitors, and graduates in first aid or use of defibrillators".
The price of the camp is 380 euros, and includes accommodation and meals. To complete the registration you must provide the completed application form, a photocopy of the child's health card and a passport-size photograph.
Weeks before the camp, specifically on July 4, there will be a meeting with parents to specify and transfer all the information they need.
