The Department of Education subsidizes part of the cost to families registered in Benidorm

250 students from 3 to 14 years old in Benidorm are attending the 'Summer School' organized by the Local Association of AMPAs in collaboration with the Education Department of Benidorm City Council. That is the number of schoolchildren in August, although in July the number reached 340, which represents a record attendance.

The 'Summer School' has been held at CEIP Puig Campana, in Els Tolls neighborhood, since July 3 and will last until September 1.

The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, and the Councilor for Education, Maite Moreno, have visited the schoolchildren and their teachers and monitors today to ask about the tasks they are doing at this time and the knowledge they are acquiring. And it is that during their stay in the 'Summer School', the students carry out various activities, such as crafts, games, or music, as well as outings and excursions.
The mayor pointed out that "the record number of registered attendance confirms that this reconciliation resource made available to families is not only a success but also necessary, especially in a city like Benidorm, where many families work in the sector services, which reaches its maximum activity in summer”.

As in previous editions, the City Council, through the Education Department, subsidizes part of the cost of the 'Summer School' for families registered in Benidorm”. This subsidy is a maximum of 50%.

In addition, the Department of Social Welfare pays for assistance and dining service for students from families with significant financial difficulties. Through this Department, two special education classrooms with eight students each have been set up in the same school.
