A conference of the first Children's Advocate, Javier Urra Portillo, opens the activities programmed by the Local Association of APAs and the Department of Education

Psychologists and specialists address school bullying in the Week of Education

The abuse of school bullying will occupy the center of the Week of Education to be held in Benidorm from November 18 to 24, organized and convened by the Local Association of APAs of Benidorm and the Department of Education, under the slogan " Know more to do better. " The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, also Councilor for Education, presented this morning the planned activities congratulating the Local Association of APAs for having prepared a program of "very high level" which addresses a question of great interest as it is the case of school bullying. The first mayor was accompanied by the president of the APAs, Francisco Santamaría, and Teresa Marín, psychologist and forensic expert, in charge of coordinating the presentations and the scheduled workshops.

The inaugural conference will take place this Saturday, day 18, and will be borne by Javier Urra Portillo, first Children's Advocate, and forensic psychologist in the Office of the Superior Court of Justice and Juvenile Courts, which will talk about whether a school is possible without harassment. The conference will begin at 6:00 p.m. in the Assembly Hall of the City of Benidorm.

The mayor explained that this activity is part of the cooperation agreement that the City Council has signed annually with the Local Association of APAs of Benidorm, to carry out actions aimed at promoting the training of parents in everything that concerns the education of their children .

On Monday 20, and in two shifts of morning and afternoon, a workshop will be held for parents, relatives and professionals related to education, which will focus on educating from emotional intelligence. These talks will take place at the headquarters of the Local Association of APAs of Benidorm and attendees will have the opportunity to learn resources to build healthier relationships, communication skills and how to resolve conflicts. The talks will be given by Sonia Cervantes, master's degree in business management and specialist in communication and conflict resolution. The other speaker will be Alejandro Germà, expert in leadership and conflict management.

On Tuesday 21 will be held another workshop aimed at parents of children in Early Childhood Education in which they will talk about how children are at a psychological level and what their needs are. On Wednesday, the 22nd will be the turn for the parents of students in Primary and Infant Education in a workshop in which they will talk about how to establish norms to avoid frustrations and create motivations for the study. That same day another workshop will be held for parents of students of Secondary Education and 6th Primary, but will also be open to parents of Primary so that they are also familiar with the problems of the students of the institute, of the adolescence and adolescence and how to face both stages. The two workshops will also take place at the headquarters of the Local Association of APAs of Benidorm, and will be taught by Teresa Marín, psychologist and forensic expert of the administration of Justice.

To round off and close these days is scheduled for Friday 24, a round table entitled "Between all, let's end the bullying", and to be held at 18:00 in the auditorium of the Social Center Llorca Llinares, in which all the sectors involved in Education will be represented. In addition to the intervention of Teresa Marín, Paqui Gómez, director of CEIP Leonor Canalejas and member of Sweetie, Association for the Defense of Children and Adolescents; a representative of the Delegation of Citizen Participation of the Police Station of the National Police of Benidorm, and a representative of the Department of Education of the Generalitat Valenciana.
