The Popular Party is the party with the most votes in Benidorm in the European Elections with 42.42% of the votes
The Popular Party has had the most votes in Benidorm in the European Elections held this Sunday with 42.42% of the support and 8,050 votes. Participation was 43.37%, 9.26 points below that recorded in the 2019 European Parliament elections, coinciding with the Municipal Elections, and 5.83 points below the state average. According to the data offered tonight by the Ministry of the Interior, 19,073 people have passed through the polls in a day without incidents.
According to provisional data at 100% of the count, the second party with the most votes in the General Elections was the Spanish Socialist Workers Party, with 32.69% and a total of 6,204 votes; followed by Vox, which obtained 10.56% of the vote, with 2,004 ballots. The Group 'La Fiesta se ha acabado', for its part, has achieved the support of 5.18% of voters, with 984 votes; while Compromís-Sumar has come in fifth place by obtaining 580 votes, which represents 3.05% of the total votes cast. The rest of the parties that participated in the elections have not exceeded 3% of the votes in the locality.
0.51% of the votes have been null and 0.50% blank.
In the previous European Elections, the PSOE was the party with the most votes with 35.45% and 8,058 votes, followed by the Popular Party with 29.53% and 6,713 votes and Ciudadanos Cs, with 14% and 3,181 votes. Podemos garnered 7.67% with 1,745 votes and Vox obtained 6.21% and 1,412 votes. The rest of the candidates did not exceed 3% of the votes.
