New minute of silence in Benidorm for the twentieth victim of macho violence in 2017
Tomorrow will be a year of the murder in Benidorm of a woman by her partner
A new minute of silence today, at 12.00 hours, at the gates of Benidorm City Hall in protest against the macho violence, which on Monday claimed a new victim in Almeria. In this case, she was a 25-year-old girl allegedly killed by her ex-partner of 30, who subsequently committed suicide by hanging herself.
The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez; the mayor of Equality, Angela Llorca; as well as councillors of the different municipal groups and public workers have condemned with this minute of silence the violence of gender. So far in 2017 there are a total of 20 women who have died as a result of sexist violence, which has also suffered three minors. The free number of help and advice to battered women, 016, which leaves no trace in the telephone bill, is the most direct tool to denounce gender violence.
One year of the last victim in Benidorm
Tomorrow, April 12, is a year of the murder in Benidorm of a woman by her partner. More than 200 people concentrated to observe 5 minutes of silence as a repulse to the crime and the City Council decreed a day of official mourning.
