The new directors of Opinión Club and AFEM meet Toni Pérez

The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, received this morning the new board of directors of Benidorm Opinion Club, headed by its president, Manuel Ciges, who attended the meeting accompanied by other members of the entity.

At the meeting, Ciges discussed with the mayor the program of activities of the Club so that on February 21, the professor of Applied Economics at the University of Alicante (UA) and former rector, Andrés Pedreño, come to Benidorm to give a conference about 'Artificial intelligence and the tourism industry'; and also the former Spanish-Russian basketball player Chechu Ririukov, who played for Real Madrid and the national teams of Spain and Russia, on March 14. Both meetings will take place in the Town Hall Assembly Hall.

Benidorm Meeting Club is an independent, open and plural space where issues that affect society are discussed. Through transversal dialogue, it aims to stimulate participation and develop constructive proposals addressed to public administrations.

Appointment with AFEM

After the meeting with Benidorm Opinion Club, Toni Pérez has held a working meeting with the new director of the Association of Families and People with Mental Illness (AFEM) of the Marina Baixa, chaired by José Mª Zahonero. The councillor for Social Welfare, Ángela Llorca, and members of the association participated in the meeting.

AFEM, part of the Spanish Mental Health Confederation, is a non-profit association that, since 1999, has been organizing psychosocial, occupational and free-time rehabilitation programs intending to improve the quality of life of people with mental illnesses and their families. The entity has its headquarters in 'Pepa Esperanza' Municipal Center on Secretario Juan Antonio Baldoví street in La Cala de Benidorm.
